Are you seeing a patient for counselling or regular mental health follow-ups, and wondering how to structure your sessions? Or perhaps, you are learning about ACEs and Trauma and wonder about what therapeutic options could entail, apart from CBT? This course focuses on therapeutic techniques and principles for patients with complex trauma or with simple PTSD. Each 90 minute session starts with an educational component, and then we move to a demo of a submitted case with a volunteer participant as pretend patient or as self with a minor pretend issue, and the instructor as the healthcare provider/therapist. This is followed by time for group discussion and interaction. Registration is limited to keep the numbers small and improve personalization of education and experience. Please see attached pdf for more details.
